About us
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1561422697154{padding-top: 2px !important;padding-bottom: 6% !important;}”]The Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) is an interdenominational educational organisation for all musicians involved in worship.
It was founded in England in 1927 and today it operates internationally, with 9500 members in over 40 countries worldwide and is the largest such global organisation. Australia has the highest membership outside the UK.
Our mission is to maintain and promote excellence in church music of all traditions and genres – whether traditional or modern, choral or instrumental, simple or difficult. Our members are choirs, schools, churches, universities, clergy, musicians, amateurs, children and adults. Historically and presently, sacred music plays a significant cultural role in our communities.
Amongst many other training events through the year, RSCM Australia offers its members an annual week-long national conference, rotating each year through cities in Australia and New Zealand. The conference involves children, young people and adults from all over the country in workshops, courses, master classes, special services, concerts and recitals.
Sydney, from 6-14 July is going to be the place to be if you’re involved or have an interested in sacred music. During the week, Sydney will witness the largest gathering of sacred music practitioners and enthusiasts ever assembled in Australia & NZ. The program, the various streams available, the accommodation, the venues, the leaders, the opportunities are all genuinely world-class. Sydney inSpires is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for all involved in church music in the Souther Hemisphere.
Choir members, band members, leaders, organists, students, conductors and teachers – whether expert or beginner, amateur or professional – Sydney inSpires is for you![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][qodef_elements_holder number_of_columns=”two-columns”][/qodef_elements_holder][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
